The California League for Environmental Enforcement Now (CLEEN) is a statewide coalition of environmental and public health organizations,
advocates and law firms committed to protecting and strengthening laws regulating
toxic pollution and keeping drinking water safe.
- CLEEN is deeply concerned with the impacts of toxic chemicals on our children,
our communities, and our future. CLEEN members believe that the best way to ensure
a healthier tomorrow is to ensure the public's right to know and the public's
power to protect.
- CLEEN members believe in the power of building broad coalitions to achieve shared
goals. CLEEN members work to achieve their goals in legislative, administrative
and judicial settings at the federal, state, and local levels.
CLEEN is a California unincorporated association. Each member of CLEEN contributes
to the work of CLEEN as it believes appropriate. The Executive Directorhip of
CLEEN is provided by a project of the Center for Environmental Health, a 501(c)(3)
non-profit corporation. Based in Oakland, CEH is dedicated to protecting the
public from environmental and consumer health hazards. More information about
CEH is available at www.cehca.org.
